Long Awaited Update!!

It has been a long time since I had the chance to sit down and write a proper update. So, let’s go over what has been going on in my corner of the world.

After getting back home from the first SRM Expedition this summer. My school here in Taipei quickly began activities. Teacher Reporting Day was August 1st and the first day of school was August 15th. Before I knew it I was neck deep in lesson planning, grading, late nights, and parent teacher conferences. September came and went way faster than I anticipated it would. We are now two weeks into October and I still am shocked at where the time is going.

I knew going into this that Bi-vocational missions was tough. I knew that my time was going to be split. I knew that my resulting effectiveness would also be split. Still, despite that, there is some fruit to report.

I’ve taken over a Bible study for ESL learners on Thursday evenings. We are averaging about five members each week. They are of varying ages and full of amazing questions! It’s one of my favorite parts of the week and is a sign of God’s blessing to me.

In a few weeks I will also be preaching at my church during the Sunday Morning service. I’m nervous and excited. It will mark my first return to the pulpit in several years. Please pray for God’s Word to speak to me and through me.

Finally, my photography kit is finally complete! I have all the necessary gear to begin really learning and growing. Remember, the goal is to eventually make a living off videography and photography. So, I need to begin investing in myself for the future. Once I am able to make a living doing that freely then I can focus on getting people trained and sent to the field.

I will be home for Christmas and plan on meeting with as many people there as I can both to catch up and for ministry conversations. If you want to meet with me, reach out on Facebook and let me know!

That’s all for now. I will get back into the grove of posting here more often. I want to make sure a record of my work is kept.

See you soon!
