Day One of Nepal is over and I am sitting at my guesthouse trying to relax. Keyword: trying.
My excitement over being here seems to keep me awake so even if I did lay down, it'd be no good. Lately, it seems that the posture of my life has been, No way, this is really happening?! At least it seems like each day is a new treat of God's goodness. The first expedition of Silk Road Mission has begun in earnest! Here are some of the highlights:
- I visited the US Embassy and got their information as well as informed them of my stay in Nepal. In case of emergency, there is an escape plan in place.
- Got lost. No, really. I got WAY lost today. Thankfully, a taxi helped me get to where I was going. Let's just say I was like 30 minutes in the wrong direction.
- Ate some Nepali/Chinese dumplings called MoMo. I've had similar in Taiwan but these were amazing. Definitely eating them again while here.
- Have begun reaching out to possible contacts here in Kathmandu. Please pray for continued good health as I trek through these streets. No Buddha Belly yet!
As you can see, today was busy! Tomorrow looks like it will be the same. Please pray that I make some contacts on this trip. I'm not here to sight see but to begin the work necessary to build a part of the Kingdom.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face shine upon you, and give you peace.
I'm Ken with Silk Road Mission.
See you tomorrow travelers.
