K-12 Christian School (International and Local)

A K-12 international school which will functionally be two student bodies in one. On one side will be local students going through the national curriculum while being taught the international language of English. On the other side will be expat, missionary, and foreign students who will be learning an international curriculum completely in English with classes to help them learn the local language as well.

The two student bodies will join as one for several courses at each school. Extra-curricular clubs, sports teams, student government, and more will all be joint efforts. Additionally, the facilities for both bodies will be the exact same. “School of many nations” will be a phrase used throughout the branding of the network.

Language Learning Center

A language center with two goals: teach missionaries the local language and teach locals English. This will be instrumental in establishing the academy’s credibility as it would have the most exposure to people who neither have school aged children nor are in training themselves.

The center will also serve many mission agencies by way of training their missionaries in the local language and customs.

Bible College and Seminary

The only graduate level courses that will be offered are theology and Bible courses. These will function as seminaries. More graduate studies may be offered in time but I think local universities are doing good work. A hybrid approach will work best with local pastors and professors as adjuncts and online courses offered from US Seminaries.

The idea behind this to help adults who may have missed a chance at formal education to gain employable skills and business techniques to serve their community. I would like to bring in missionary plumbers, electricians, contractors, landscapers, businessmen, and more to help teach the skills needed to start and run one of these kinds of businesses.

I foresee these being 1-2 month long workshops where the teachers are giving the students hands on experience working in the community on service projects. After the reputation of the school is established, it would be great to get the local city government involved to get our students certified and able to bid on projects for the city or jobs in the firms that are doing the bidding.

This will be a more outreach oriented part of the school’s mission. A local business incubator for both our graduates and their parents. I hope I can draw investors and philanthropists with the stated goal of helping communities and peoples becoming sustainably self-sufficient.

If possible, I’d like to gain the local city government’s favor and be able to rent out places where students can use to get their businesses off the ground.
